10 Best Nightlife in Nusa Dua

Best Places To Go At Night In Nusa Dua

The Nusa Dua nightlife scene is similar to its Ubud counterpart, where activities after dark are more refined and cultured than those you would encounter at the livelier haunts of Kuta, Legian and Seminyak. Nevertheless, you can find several places to go for some great entertainment and a memorable night out.
Most of the resorts in Nusa Dua feature a bar or lounge where you can enjoy great cocktails and good company in cosy surrounds or with open stages where exotic cultural performances are presented alongside lavish buffets. Others are standalone venues, each offering different menus and music for a pleasurable evening. Here are all the best places to go at night while in Nusa Dua.

1. Devdan Show

Devdan is one of the island’s best theatre shows, featuring nightly, four times a week at the Bali Nusa Dua Theatre. Located adjacent to ‘The Bay’ dining complex of beachfront restaurants, you can go before or after dinner at Nusa Dua’s peninsula area on foot to the theatre and enjoy this spectacular treat. Devdan, ‘Treasure of the Archipelago’, is a riveting 90-minute show that takes you through the Indonesian archipelago, following a story narrated and acted by a boy and girl who discover a magical chest filled with items representing each island and culture. With each item ‘found’ the stage transitions to stunning backdrops and setups with amazing choreography performed by a huge cast comprising skilled dancers and acrobats.

2. King Cole Bar at The St. Regis Bali

King Cole Bar follows on the fame of its New York St. Regis counterpart, birthplace of the Bloody Mary. St. Regis Bali Resort’s bar features a luxurious lounge area, where you can enjoy an extensive selection of fine champagnes, divine martinis and cocktails shaken with freshly squeezed juices. A great spot if you like to spend your evenings in luxury, the resort also presents its signature fire dance ritual with dancers parading through the resort and lighting up torches at specific points, serving as a spectacle and prelude to your evening. The bar also serves a selection of gourmet delights. Indoor seating areas are subtly lit and cosy, and soft tunes by a live vocalist and pianist help set the moods.

3. Kupu-Kupu Amphitheatre at the Grand Nikko Bali

The Balinese open-air amphitheatre is located at the resort’s beachfront, with a backdrop of a towering limestone cliff carved with a magnificent statue that looms over the dining area and stage. Lavish buffet dinners accompany the live Balinese dance performances and regular traditional culture shows. Guests are usually welcomed with signature drinks and don a traditional Balinese ‘kamen’ waist cloth and sash, and ‘udeng’ headwear for men. A great way to experience Balinese culture and cuisine, the presented dishes usually comprise great local favourites, and after performances, the audience is welcome onstage for pictures with the vibrantly costumed dancers.

4. Cabaret Show at the Sol Beach House Benoa

Sol Beach House Benoa in Tanjung Benoa, just south of Nusa Dua, presents exciting cabaret shows every Sunday for its all-inclusive guests.
